Wow - super interesting! I cannot believe the decrease in the US students studying abroad since 2005-2006. I know the economy is bad, but it is arguably cheaper to send kids overseas in many of our volunteer programs than to have them live at home in the US.
Thank you, That is a great point. When recession hits, American consumption tends to decrease sharply since it is considered a service economy. In my opinion,this shouldn't stop American students to go abroad, but it should encourage them to go overseas as international program prices are going down .
